Welcome Back to Another Episode of Cooking With Mookie =). On Todays Menu We Have Steak, Mashed Potatoes & Spinach. Now if You’ve Read My Previous Blog Posts Then You Kinda Already Know That Steak is One of My All Time Favorite Foods To Eat. Although its Been Said Red Meat isnt Really That Good too Eat, I Still Indulge in The Food Probably at Least Once A Week.

I Bought A 4 Pack Of Center Cut Sirloin Steak From Walmart and Lightly Seasoned Them With McCormick’s Steak Seasoning, Garlic Powder, and Onion Powder on Both Sides. I Turned My Frying Pan On to High Heat & Added About 2 Tbsp of Butter To Melt Down Then Added My Steaks. The Pan is Fairly Large So I Was Able to Cook Them 2 At A Time. I Like My Steaks A Little Pink in The Middle So I Cooked Them For About 5-7 Mins Per Side & Let Them Rest.
Cooking Spinach is Fairly Easy. Only Thing I Hate About This Particular Veggie is The Fact That You Can Cook A Whole Bag of Spinach & Once its Cooked Down it Almost Looks Like Nothing lol. I Sauteed My Spinach in Some Olive Oil & Season Salt. My Grandma Always Made Hers With Minced Garlic & Lemon and Thats How I Was Planning to Make Mine But I Didnt Have Either of Those. I Was Able to improvise w/ Some Lemon Pepper Seasoning & At First I Didnt Think it Would Taste Right but it Actually Came Together Perfectly.
While My Steak Was Resting I Finished Up My Spinach & Made A Light Gravy Out of Some Extra Butter, Steak Drippings From The Pan, & A Tad Bit of Water. I Stirred it Real Well Making Sure to Kinda Blend Some of The Seasonings From the Bottom of The Pan but Was Careful Not to Scrape it Too Much. My Mashed Potatoes Were Not Homemade. As Stated in A Previous Recipe, My Usual Go to is Bob Evans Mashed Potatoes & With Some Added Butter & Pepper They Taste Just As Amazing.
